"Wings of October" is an original oil painting by Gail M Austin. The image portrays a black crow, raven bird flying in a cloud-less cobalt blue sky.  Golden Autumn aspen leaves seem to be clutching onto the fleeting bird, creating a sort of tension.  Purple outlines on the trees, and the glowing from behind the raven makes the viewer wonder why the raven is leaving.
